Managed Windows Server · Mixed Linux & Windows estates

Windows Servers, managed with the same discipline as Linux

Most businesses run Linux and Windows side by side. We manage both — patching, monitoring, backing up and upgrading your Windows Servers with the same rigour we're known for on Linux. One team, one platform, one SLA.

In short

Rev2IT manages Windows Servers for South African businesses: planned patching, monitoring, service auto-healing, backups and upgrades off end-of-support versions such as Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2016. Windows and Linux servers are managed together in R2 Central, under one SLA and one team.

The problem

Sound familiar?

Updates reboot servers at the worst time

Or they get skipped altogether, because nobody wants an unplanned restart in business hours.

Old Windows Server versions are still running

Windows Server 2012 R2 is already out of support and Windows Server 2016 leaves extended support in January 2027.

Two providers, two sets of finger-pointing

One company looks after Linux, another looks after Windows, and problems fall in the gap between them.

Services fail silently overnight

A stopped service or full disk is discovered at 8am — by staff who can't work.

The solution

How we solve it

Your Windows Servers get the same predictable, documented management as our Linux customers.

Patching in planned windows

Windows updates are scheduled, applied and verified through R2 Central's Patch Manager — no surprise reboots.

Monitoring and auto-healing

Key Windows services, disks and resources are monitored around the clock, and failed services are restarted automatically.

Upgrades off end-of-support versions

We plan upgrades to supported Windows Server releases — or, where it saves licensing and effort, a move to Linux.

One SLA for the whole estate

Linux and Windows servers sit on the same platform, with the same response times and the same team accountable.

FAQ

Questions we're asked

Which Windows Server versions do you support?

We manage currently supported Windows Server releases, and help you plan upgrades for versions that are approaching or past end of support.

Can you manage Linux and Windows together?

Yes — that's what most of our customers need. Both run in R2 Central under one SLA, so there's one team accountable for the whole estate.

Should we move some Windows workloads to Linux?

Sometimes. Web servers, databases and file services often run well on Linux and save licensing costs. We'll advise honestly where it makes sense — and where it doesn't.

How quickly do you respond to problems?

Critical incidents have a 15-minute response time and high-priority issues a 1-hour response time. After-hours support is available 24/7/365.
